HARYANA: Following the enthronement ceremony of 42nd Sakya Trizin at Puruwala, Deputy Speaker Acharya Yeshi Phuntsok of the Tibetan Parliament-in-Exile attended a conference on religious harmony at Karnal, Haryana.
The conference was attended by Shri Manohar Lal Khattar, Chief Minister of Haryana, Shri Kaptan Singh Solanki, Governor of Haryana and Shri Acharya Dev Virat, Governor of Himachal Pradesh.
Deputy Speaker Acharya Yeshi Phuntsok delivered the introductory remarks and offered mementos to the dignitaries. Deputy Speaker also spoke about the importance of Tibetan religion and culture and the need to preserve it in exile.
Spiritual leaders from six different religious traditions took part in the conference.
