
Dharamshala: The Department of Religion and Culture, CTA, successfully concluded its Buddhist talk series for Tibetan college students studying in various colleges across Jalandhar, Mangalore, and Delhi from 13 to 17 September 2024. More than 200 Tibetan college students attended the talk series and had meaningful discussions and interactions with Geshema Delek Wangmo and DoRC staff.
Throughout the series, Geshema Delek Wangmo, a Buddhist Philosophical teacher of Dolma Ling Nunnery, has delivered insightful presentations on various aspects of Buddhist Philosophy, with a particular focus on ethical living. The format of the sessions encouraged interactive discussions, enabling students to actively engage with the material and pose questions pertinent to their own experiences.
The program not only enhanced participants’ knowledge of Buddhist thought but also played a significant role in promoting community building among Tibetan students from different colleges. Attendees reported a greater sense of connection to their cultural knowledge and an increased motivation to apply Buddhist principles in their daily lives.
