Dharamshala: On 10 January 2026, the Department of Health, Central Tibetan Administration (CTA), conducted a comprehensive workshop under the Every Mother & Child (EMC) programme funded by the United States Government, at the Hotel Tibet in Dharamsala. The event drew 37 participants, including expecting parents and parents of children under 2 years old. This first-ever workshop aimed to address knowledge gaps in maternal and child health and promote the overall well-being of mothers and children.

Sessions were led by resource persons, including Dr Sonam Topgyal and Dr Dechen from Delek Hospital, Kalsang Wangdue from Manjushree Educational Services, and Nurse Tsering Yangchen (Department of Health) and Nurse Tashi ( T.S.O Dharamsala). Similar workshops will be conducted in other Tibetan settlements in the coming months.
