The Department of Education’s English Curriculum and Learning Standards Framework Development Committee completed its first draft of developing the English Curriculum and Learning Standards Framework for classes IV-VIII of the three Tibetan School Systems. The committee within 8 weeks has collected raw data from 1152 students in 52 classrooms, 45 teachers, and 24 school administers from12 different Tibetan schools located in the northern part of India. The data collected were analyzed to develop a comprehensive class-specific and language skills domain-specific English Curriculum and Learning Standards Framework to be implemented by the three Tibetan School Systems.
The final draft is yet to be approved by the Education Council and adopted for implementation.
