Dharamshala: Tibetan Institute of Performing Arts (TIPA) hosted a dinner reception with a traditional Tibetan dance performance for the delegation from US Embassy, New Delhi and Tibet Fund, New York at its Institute on 21st May. The delegation comprises of Ms. Bryce Isham, First Secretary, Mr. J.P. Das, Sr. Country Exchange officer from US Embassy, New Delhi, and Mr. Tenzing Choephel from Tibet Fund New York. The Secretary of the Education Department Mr. Karma Singey and former Secretary Ms. Nangsa Choedon were also present during the reception. The delegation is on an official tour to Dharamsala to select students for 2020 Tibetan scholarship program.
The director of TIPA, Mr. Ngawang Yonten welcomed the delegation and briefed them about the various programs of the Institute being funded by the USAID. Both Ms. Isham and Mr. Das were very happy to learn about the programs of the Institute and gave many advices and suggestions. They also shared their willingness to work with TIPA for conduct cultural programs in near future.
