Shimla: Chief Representative Officer of Shimla (CRO), Lhakpa Tsering, paid a courtesy visit to the Hon’ble Minister for Health and Social Welfare, Government of Himachal Pradesh, Dr. (Col.) Dhani Ram Shandil, on 5 June 2026. 

During the meeting, CRO Lhakpa Tsering apprised the Hon’ble Minister of the infrastructure needs of Tibetan monasteries and the concerns faced by monasteries in Himachal Pradesh on behalf of the Department of Religion. While expressing sincere gratitude to the government and people of Himachal, he sought the continued support of the Government of Himachal Pradesh for the welfare and well-being of the Tibetan community.

As a gesture of goodwill, CRO Lhakpa Tsering presented a Buddha thangka to the Hon’ble Minister.

In response, Dr. (Col.) Dhani Ram Shandil assured his continued support and stated that appropriate assistance would be extended as and when required.
