Dharamshala: The Central Council of Tibetan Medicine (CCTM) organised handing and taking-over ceremony between its 6th and 7th board members at the Tibetan Medical and Astro-Science Institute (Drophen Men-tsee-khang) on 31 October 2022.
sMenpa Tsering Tsamchoe, Chair of the 6th CCTM, presented a briefing of their three years tenure at the gathering and the chief guest, Additional Secretary Jampa Phuntsok from Health Department (CTA), congratulated the new members of CCTM and presented certificates to the outgoing members for their services. Given CCTM’s significant role in preserving Tibet’s astrological and medicinal heritages, the chief guest highlighted cooperation amongst concerned institutes and individuals while assuring support from the Department of Health.
During the ceremony, the election committee of CCTM announced electees of the 7th board, among which sMenpa Tsering Thakchoe Drungtso was appointed as the Chair along with sMenpa Dorje Dadul and sMenpa Passang Topchen as the Vice Chair and Secretary, respectively. The ceremony was concluded with a vote of thanks from sMenpa Thokmey, the member of the outgoing board, to the facilitators for their support while urging for the same to a new board.
