Senator Jacqueline Eustache-Brinio, Chair of French Senate Tibet Support Group, addressing the gathering during the celebration of His Holiness the Dalai Lama’s 88th Birthday.

Paris: The Bureau du Tibet Paris (Office of Tibet), in collaboration with the French Senate Tibet Support Group, organised a celebration of His Holiness the Dalai Lama’s 88th Birth Anniversary in Les Salons Tournon at French Senate with around 60 celebrants on 6 July 2023.

The celebration was attended by Senator Jacqueline Eustache-Brinio, Chair of French Senate Tibet Support Group, as chief guest, along with Senator Else Joseph, Senator Annick Billon, Senator Andre Gattolin, Deputy Mayor of Paris Jean Luc Romero-Michel, Deputy Representative Philippe C.L.Yen from Taipei Representative Office in France, Members of France Tibet Support Groups and media persons. 

From the Tibetan side, Tibetan parliamentarian Thupten Gyatso, Representative Rigzin Choedon Genkhang (OoT Brussels), Coordinator Thupten Tsering, President Karma Thrinley and executive members of France Tibetan Community, representatives from the Regional Tibetan Youth Association, President of the Regional Chapter of Dokham Chusi Gangdruk, Vice President of the regional U-Tsang Cholkha, President and Vice President of the regional Domey Cholkha, and representatives from Students for Free Tibet, attended the event. 

Chief guests Senator Jacqueline Eustache-Brinio greeted the attendees on occasion and assured her continued support towards the Tibet issue in her talk, followed by an address from Representative Rigzin Choedon Genkhang. The Representative apprised the gathering about His Holiness’ life accomplishments and the dire situations inside Tibet.
