
Choktrul Tenzin Yonten Gyatso Rinpoche’s Dharma Entrance Ceremony.
Dharamshala: Additional Secretary Dhondul Dorjee of Religion and Culture, CTA attended the 2-day Dharma Entrance Ceremony of Choktrul Tenzin Yonten Gyatso Rinpoche held on 18-19 November.
In the morning of 18 November, after installation of the portrait of His Holiness the Dalai Lama on the throne, offering of Mandral Tensum was made. The gathering was presided by the Dharma Entrance committee and the guests of the programme.
On the following day, the Choktrul Rinpoche Tenzin Yonten Gyatso was presented with mandral tensum and ceremonial scarves by Secretary Tenzin Takla of Ganden Phrodang, Parliamentarian Geshe Lharampa Atruk Tsetan, Drepung Tripa, Additional Secretary Dhondul Dorjee of Religion and Culture, Parliamentarian Choedak Gyatso, abbots of monasteries. It was followed by the Secretary of Settlement Office, Lamas and Tulkus, representatives of the monastery and organisations, patrons and the general public, who offered scarves to Choktrul Rinpoche to mark the ceremony.
Choktrul Tenzin Yonten Gyatso Rinpoche is recognised as the reincarnation of the late Taktser Rinpoche, the eldest brother of His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama, who was the reincarnated lama of Kumbum monastery.
