Dharamshala: Thousands of Tibetans carrying traditional scarves, incense and bouquets gave a very warm and ceremonial reception to His Holiness the Dalai Lama, who returned to Dharamshala on Monday afternoon from New Delhi. His Holiness successfully completed his medical treatment at Sir Ganga hospital in the capital and took a few days rest before returning to Dharamshala.His Eminence Gyalwa Karmapa Rinpoche, Speaker Karma Chophel, Kalon Tsering Phuntsok, kalon for the Department of Religion and Culture, abbot of Gyutoe Monastery, regional Tibetan welfare officer, representatives from various institutions and non-governmental organizations were present at the Kangra Airport to receive His Holiness.The chief justice commissioner and the justice commissioner, deputy speaker, heads of the autonomous bodies and secretaries of the departments of the Central Tibetan Administration gathered at the residence of His Holiness to receive him.More photos:
