Tibetans Fly High in Class XII Board Exams
Dharamsala, 28 May: The Central Schools for Tibetans which educate a bulk of Tibetan refugees have achieved a landmark result this year in the class XII board exams conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education. The class XII results of the Central Schools for Tibetans recorded a pass percentage of 86 percent falling short of just 6 percent to top the all India school wise rankings, reported Times of India yesterday.
The Central Schools for Tibetans follows Kendriya Vidhyalaya schools who topped the rankings.
A total of 917 students of the various Tibetan schools appeared in this year’s exams out of which 448 were from the central Schools for Tibetans. Tibetan Children’s Village schools of Gopalpur, Bylakupee, and Dharamsala, TNMF Clement Town, and Tibetan Homes Foundation, Mussoorie had a total of 469 students who appeared in the exams.
Tenzin Zomkey of Central School for Tibetans, Bylakupee has topped this year’s exams with 88.6 percent.
The school wise result of the Tibetan schools places CST Bylakuppe on top, followed by CST Kalimpong, CST Paonta Sahib, CST Dalhousie, CST Herbertpur, TCV Goplapur, CST Shimla, SOS TCV Bylakuppe, CST Mungod, TNMF Clement Town, THF Mussoorie, CST Darjeeling, CST Mussoorie and TCV Dharamsala.
