Mainpat: On 13 January 2026, Phendeling Tibetan Settlement Officer Tsewang Yangtso and the Secretary of the Tibetan Cooperative Society, Tsering Dhondup, paid a courtesy call on Shri Ajeet Vasant, IAS, the newly appointed Collector of Surguja District, Chhattisgarh, on behalf of the Tibetan community of Mainpat.

During the meeting, they sought his kind support and intervention in addressing issues faced by the Tibetan community, with particular emphasis on the effective implementation of the Tibetan Rehabilitation Policy (TRP-2014). The duo further expressed sincere gratitude for the people and government of India for its continuous supports towards Tibetan community.
