Bir, Himachal Pradesh: The Local Ghoton Committee of Bir Boetsog Tibetan Settlement successfully organised a clothes distribution programme for construction workers and underprivileged people living in and around Bir Tibetan Settlement on 28 November 2025. The event took place at 11:00 AM at the settlement basketball ground. the Local Ghoton Committee informed the donees that the initiative was undertaken as part of celebration of the Year of Compassion to honour His Holiness the Dalai Lama’s 90th birth year. 

The programme aimed to support individuals working in construction and other labour-intensive jobs in the region. The committee distributed warm clothes, daily wear items, and essential garments to help beneficiaries cope with the winter season. 

Around 200 workers and people gathered at the venue, and the event was carried out in an orderly and respectful manner. Bir Boetsog Local Ghoton Committee assisted in organising the distribution, ensuring that every recipient received items according to their needs.
