
Ravangla: As part of the Election Commission of the Central Tibetan Administration’s public outreach initiative for the 2025–2026 Sikyong and 18th Tibetan Parliament-in-Exile elections, Additional Election Commissioner Tsering Youdon successfully concluded a series of public awareness programmes in Gangtok and Ravangla.
On 22 October 2025, Additional Election Commissioner Tsering Youdon conducted a public awareness session in Gangtok, focusing on the significance and necessity of the upcoming elections. During the session, she highlighted the importance of democratic participation and the role of every voter in ensuring a fair and transparent electoral process. The programme also featured an interactive segment with the public, during which she addressed questions and clarified doubts related to election procedures.
Following the public session, she held a separate meeting with members of the Regional Election Commission, guiding them through the rules and regulations to be followed during the election process and emphasising their responsibilities in upholding electoral integrity.
On 23 October, she successfully concluded another electoral awareness program at the Ravangla Kunphenling Tibetan Settlement. Upon arrival, she met with members of the Regional Election Commission, followed by a public awareness session in the afternoon attended by members of the local Tibetan community.
The following morning, she departed for Darjeeling to continue her official visit.
