Sataun, Himachal Pradesh: As part of the Ghoton programme to mark His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama’s Birthday as the ‘Year Of Compassion’, Kham Kathok Tibetan Settlement hosted a talk on His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama’s Four Principal Commitments on 12 October 2025.

The headmaster of Tibetan Homes School (THS), Dekyiling, Ven. Lungrig Sonam was invited to deliver the talk. The event began at 10:30 a.m. with the introduction of Ven. Lungrig Sonam by the Settlement Officer, Ugen Choedon Oshoe and the purpose of the programme.

Ven. Lungrig Sonam addressed the public and monks of Kathok Nyingma Monastery, where he delivered a deeply inspiring talk on the four principal commitments of His Holiness the Dalai Lama: upholding human values, encouraging inter-religious harmony, preserving Tibetan culture, and promoting ancient Indian traditions and wisdom.

During the break, juice and biscuits were distributed to all the attendees. The event concluded with a small offering of a Khatak and a Thangka to Ven. Lungrig Sonam.
