Taipei: On 27 September 2025, from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., a prayer service organised by the Office of Tibet in Taiwan, geshes were invited to the office’s prayer hall, along with Dharma students to express condolences to the many residents who died and were injured due to the severe typhoon that hit Taiwan’s Hualien area on 24 September 2025.

A prayer ceremony was also held to commemorate the passing of Kyabje Gaden Trisur Rinpoche Jetsun Lobsang Tenzin, the 104th throne holder of the Ganden Tripa. Rinpoche, who passed away on the morning of 26 September 2025 at his residence in Sera Je Monastery, Bylakuppe (India).
