
Leh, Ladakh: The Chief Representative Office (CRO) of Ladakh in the Sonamling Settlement hosted over 40 trainers from the Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) at the CRO Hall to promote awareness on His Holiness the Dalai Lama’s life and works.
During the programme, the Chief Representative Officer provided an overview of the establishment of the Central Tibetan Administration in Dharamshala and the development of the Sonamling Settlement. An exhibition showcasing the life and legacy of His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama was also presented.
The event further underscored His Holiness’ Four Principal Commitments. In alignment with the Year of Compassion celebration, the CRO introduced several of His Holiness’ books to the attendees, including My Land and My People, Freedom in Exile, Voice for the Voiceless, and Beyond Religion. In addition, Tibet: A Political History by Tsepon W.D. Shakabpa was highlighted as a key historical reference.
In closing, the Chief Representative expressed heartfelt gratitude to the Government of India and the people of India for their steadfast support of the Tibetan community.
