
Paris: On 14 September 2025, the Bureau du Tibet in France participated in the Vu Lan festival at Khanh Anh Pagoda near Paris, a Vietnamese Buddhist festival where the France Ghoton Committee showcased the exhibition of His Holiness’ four principal commitments and His life and legacy.
During this occasion, the former abbot of Gyuto Monastery, Thupten Tenzin Rinpoche, along with six monks, consecrated the inaugural of the exhibition with prayers and religious chants. The exhibition is scheduled to run for eight days till 21 September.
At the ceremony, the Chairman of the Vietnam European Buddhist Association delivered welcome remarks which was followed by mandala offerings to His Holiness’ the Dalai Lama’s portrait, then the Thupten Tenzin Rinpoche gave religious teachings.
In his address, Coordinator Thupten Tsering spoke about the year-long declaration of ‘Year of Compassion’ and the ways it need to be celebrated. He also deliberated on the exhibition related to His Holiness’s the Dalai Lama’s four principal commitments.

The event was attended by local district officials, former officials, other local dignitaries, and the public, with a total attendance of over 500 people.
