Dharamshala: The Deputy Commissioner (DC) of Kangra, Shri Hemraj Bairwa (I.A.S.), visited Kunchok Migmar, the Tibetan Settlement Officer of Dharamshala, at his residence to extend his greetings for Losar.
During their discussion, the Tibetan Settlement Officer expressed his sincere appreciation to the Deputy Commissioner for his unwavering support towards addressing the concerns of the Tibetan community, as well as his dedicated efforts in promoting development, particularly in McLeod Ganj. He also respectfully brought to the DC’s attention several pressing issues, including the need for improved street lighting on TIPA Road and the significant damage to major roads within the town. The Deputy Commissioner, in turn, assured that these matters would be given prompt and careful consideration.
Furthermore, the Tibetan Settlement Officer provided insights into the cultural significance of the Losar celebration and its associated festivities.
In recognition of Settlement Officer Kunchok Migmar’s effective collaboration with the local administration and his efforts in promoting harmony between the local and Tibetan communities, the DC had presented him with an appreciation letter last September.
