Dharamshala: On the momentous occasion of losar, Tibetan New Year 2152, falling on 28 February 2025, the first day of the Wood Snake Year, the Department of Education, Central Tibetan Administration, has unveiled the fifth episode, titled ‘Losar Celebration‘, of the 3D animated children’s series ‘Tenzin’s World‘. This episode is now available for viewing and downloading on the Department’s Tibetan language learning website and YouTube channel.

As is widely acknowledged, animation has evolved into a vital educational tool and an innovative approach that stimulates children’s creativity and learning in a modern context. Recognising its significance, the Department of Education has been dedicated to developing 3D and 2D animated content for children since 2016.

Earlier this year, on 1 January, the Department released the inaugural episode of the series, titled ‘Losar Preparation‘, which can also be found on the same platforms. With these efforts, the Department aims to provide Tibetan children, both within Tibet and in the diaspora, with engaging educational content that fosters a connection to their culture and language.
