
Prayagraj: The India Tibet Coordination Office (ITCO) successfully concluded its Civil Society Outreach Program at the Maha Kumbh, creating a meaningful platform for raising awareness about the Tibetan cause. The three-day event witnessed enthusiastic participation from civil society members, students, and the general public from diverse backgrounds and nationalities.
A special highlight of the program was the presence of senior leader Shri Bhaiyyaji Joshi, who graced the occasion with his support and encouragement.
Students from Lalit Narayan Mithila University, Darbhanga, Bihar, and New R.S.J. Public School, Jhusi, Allahabad, expressed keen interest in learning more about the Tibetan cause and culture. The program also provided an excellent opportunity to engage with the public from across India, including participants from Telangana, Lucknow, Bihar, Gujarat, Arunachal Pradesh, Ladakh, and Prayagraj, as well as visitors from Denmark and Sweden.
ITCO staff extended their outreach activities in the evenings, engaging with like-minded individuals, and spreading awareness about the situation in Tibet. The Civil Society Outreach Program at Maha Kumbh was yet another milestone in ITCO’s ongoing Tibet awareness initiatives. The event drew an increasing number of voices from Indian civil society, particularly youth, who showed a deep interest in Tibetan culture and history. This growing support reaffirms the success of ITCO’s efforts to build stronger connections with Indian communities in support of the Tibetan cause.
