Dehradun: On 7 February 2025, the official handing over ceremony took place between outgoing Manager Ugen Choedon and incoming Manager Samten Choephel of the Tibetan Women Centre (TWC), Rajpur. The event was held at the TWC in the presence of Dehradun Settlement Officer Dhundup Gyalpo, who attended as official witness representing the Department of Home, Central Tibetan Administration (CTA). The ceremony commenced at 9:30 AM with document verification and signing.

Following this, a traditional scarf offering and chair exchange ceremony was conducted, attended by the official witness, GBM members, and staff at the TWC Rajpur Manager’s office. After this a public meeting was held, during which outgoing Manager Ugen Choedon introduced the newly appointed Manager, Samten Choephel, and provided a briefing on the initiatives undertaken during her tenure. She expressed her gratitude to the community for their support and cooperation. The new Manager, Samten Choephel, then addressed the gathering with a greeting speech.

Concluding the event, Dehradun Settlement Officer Dhundup Gyalpo shared his observations and guidance to the community.
