
Dharamshala: On 8 November 2024, Secretary Dhondul Dorjee of the Department of Religion and Culture, Central Tibetan Administration, attended the celebration of the 29th founding anniversary of Norbulingka Institute as its chief guest.
It was also attended by the Director of Norbulingka Institute and former Tibetan Election Commissioner Jamphel Choesang, who is currently the head of the Biography Department at Norbulingka, along with staff, teachers, and students of the institute. Later in the afternoon, the celebration was also joined by its special guest, Yashbir Singh, the Government of India’s Liaison Officer for His Holiness the Dalai Lama.
During the celebration held at the institute’s Deden Tsuglagkhang, Secretary Dhondul Dorjee kindled a ceremonial butter lamp to commence the event and offered a scarf to His Holiness the Dalai Lama’s portrait. Following the briefing of institute’s annual report by its Director, the Secretary of the Department of Religion and Culture addressed the gathering.
The anniversary also featured presentation of cultural performances from its staff and students.
