Kollegal: The Kollegal Dhondenling Tibetan Settlement Office held an official handing-over ceremony between Acting Settlement Officer Rinzin Choetso and incoming Settlement Officer Thupten Tsering on 3 October 2024.

Jigmey Tsultrim, the Chief Representative Officer of the south zone, was the official witness representing the Department of Home, overseeing the handing and taking over ceremony between the outgoing and newly appointed Tibetan Settlement Officers.

As part of the handing-over program, the incoming and outgoing Settlement Officers, along with the official witness, paid visits to key institutions under the jurisdiction of Dhondenling Tibetan Settlement Office, such as the local Tibetan school, Tibetan Primary Health Care Centre, and kindergarten.

Additionally, a formal ceremony was held to mark the transition of authority in the presence of local Tibetan officials and the official witness. Both the outgoing and new Settlement Officers, along with the Chief Representative from the Department of Home, addressed the gathering. The event concluded with a visit to the local monastery and inspection of ongoing project sites within the jurisdiction.
