
Dehradun: At the request of Tibetan Homes School, Rajpur, the Local Tibetan Justice Commission of Northern Region conducted a legal awareness campaign for 40 students of grade VIII on 24 September 2024.
Tibetan Circuit Justice Commissioner Lhadruk apprised the students, who were on an educational tour, about the Circuit Justice Commission during the latter’s visit. Similarly, the Local Justice Commissioner of the Northern Region, Choekyi, provided an overview of the Tibetan Judiciary in exile, outlining both the higher and lower levels. They further provided details about the Tibetan Justice Commission’s Code of Civil Procedure’s principal law and provided a detailed guideline on the different types of evidence, admissibility of evidence, the veracity of witnesses, examination of witnesses, and the standard of proof.
