Arunachal Pradesh: The Tenzingang Tibetan Settlement Office organised a heartfelt gratitude event to celebrate the Resolve Tibet Act 2024. The day began with a traditional Smoke Prayer (Sangsol) in the morning, setting a spiritual tone for the proceedings. Following the prayer, the Tibetan Settlement Officer, Rapten Tsering, and the President of the Local Tibetan Assembly, Lodoe Phuntsok, led the offering of a Mandala to the Portrait of His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama. The event was graced by the harmonious performance of the Tibetan and Indian National Anthems, sung by attendees and accompanied by the STS Sambhota School band on 17 July 2024.
BRDL President Lodoe Phuntsok also delivered a speech underscoring the importance of the Resolve Tibet Act 2024 and its role in advancing the Tibetan struggle for autonomy and recognition. His words resonated with the audience, reinforcing the collective sense of achievement and hope.
As a gesture of gratitude towards the government and people of America, the general public of Tenzingang Settlement, Monks of Gyuto Monastery, and the teachers, staff, and students of the Tenzingang Settlement School participated in the daylong celebration. The event fostered a sense of unity and shared purpose, reflecting the deep appreciation of the Tibetan community for international solidarity.
