Taiwan: The Office of Tibet in Taiwan commemorated the 34th anniversary of Nobel Peace Prize conferment to His Holiness the Dalai Lama. The office also marked the celebration of its 25th founding anniversary on the same day.
The event held in Taipei was attended by around 150 dignitiaries who are friends and supporters of the Tibetan cause.
Representative Kelsang Gyaltsen Bawa in his address shared about the aspirations and commitments of His Holiness the Dalai Lama. He spoke about the ongoing persecution of Tibetans under the CCP authority.
Yiong Con Zinn, Deputy Minister of the Hakka Affairs Council along with Yao Jia-Wen (former president of the country’s Examination Yuan), Tien Chung Kwang (Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Taiwan) also spoke at the event.
Tibetan folk song and cultural dance were performed by Tibetan singer Lhundup.
