Dalhousie: The outgoing Tibetan Settlement Officer (TSO) of Dalhousie Phuntsokling, Phuntsok Topgyal, handed over the charge to incoming TSO Phurbu Tsering in the presence of official witness TSO Karma Namgyal from Bir Tibetan Settlement.

On 12 April 2023, the two exchanged official documents as part of the handing-over ceremony, followed by a visit to local Indian dignitaries to make acquaintance. The new TSO was introduced to Shri. Anil Kumar Bhardwaj (SDM); Shri. Ramesk K Chauhan (Tehsildar); Insp. Anil Upadhyay (SHO); Shri Hemant Thakur( SDPO); Dr G.S. Dhillon (Principal of Dalhousie Public School and President of Indo Tibetan Friendship Association) and other important local dignitaries. Furthermore, the new and departing TSOs, along with the official witness, made an inspection visit to the project sites of the settlement.

On the following day, a gathering was convened to formally transfer the responsibility with the attendance of Vice Chair of Local Tibetan Assembly, president of BRDL, and representatives from the local NGOs and institutions. The incoming and outgoing TSOs addressed the public while the official witness briefed them about the successful handing and taking-over process.
