Dharamshala: The Department of Health, CTA, organised an awareness campaign on preventing suicide across Tibetan settlements to mark World Suicide Prevention Day (WSPD).

The Mental Health Desk of the Health Department conducted awareness on suicide prevention at the College for Higher Tibetan Studies, Sarah and Upper TCV School for students and parents, respectively, during the month of September. Similarly, the nurses at Tibetan primary health care centres in 17 settlements made Tibetan residents aware of the aforementioned issue as a part of the campaign.

The program was funded by the United States Department of State, Bureau of Population, Refugees, and Migration(PRM).
