Health care worker giving awareness program at Hunsur Tibetan Settlement.
Dharamshala: According to the Health Department’s Health Information System (HIS) section, Gastritis-related health conditions have been the third most common condition in our Tibetan Community in the last fiscal year. Considering this fact, the department’s Health Education and Training Desk coordinated with all the Tibetan Primary Health Centers and a few settlements. Health workers of respective settlements create awareness of Gastritis and Stomach Cancer by reaching out to a maximum number of the general public, including schools and monasteries. Under this initiative, 14 Settlements and communities were able to reach out to a total of around 1841 people.
