Dharamshala: In accordance with the 69th provision in the Tibetan charter, the Chief Justice Commissioner of the Tibetan Supreme Justice Commissioner appointed Mr Yeshi Gyamtso, former Vice Chairman, as a temporary local justice commissioner to administer the oath of office to new chair Gyalpo Dhondup and vice chairman Apo Khentse Sherab of the 10th Bir Tibetan Assembly. The swearing in ceremony took place on 9 December.

The election of the new chairs of the local assembly was compelled due to the unfortunate demise of its chairperson, Namlang Dorjee.
