Kathmandu: The Chairman, Vice Chairman and members of the 9th Kathmandu and Jawalakhel Local Tibetan Assembly were sworn in at a brief ceremony held on 16 December 2019.

Chief Justice Commissioner Sonam Norbu Dagpo has appointed former Joint Secretary Tsesum Lhamo as acting Tibetan Local Justice Commissioner as per Tibetan Charter in Exile’s Article 69.

Former Joint Secretary and Acting Tibetan Local Justice Commissioner, Tsesum Lhamo administered the oath to newly-elected Chairman Pema Tsewang, Vice Chairman Kunchok Thinley and 13 members of the 9th Local Tibetan Assembly of Kathmandu. Likewise, newly-elected Chairman Kalsang Lhamo, Vice Chairman Tsering Namgyal and 14 members of the 9th Local Tibetan Assembly of Jawalakhel were administered by Acting Tibetan Local Justice Commissioner, Tsesum Lhamo.
