Herbertpur: The Chairman, Vice Chairman and members of the 9th Herbertpur Local Tibetan Assembly were sworn in at a brief ceremony held on 24 August 2019.

The Tibetan Local Justice Commissioner for the northern region, Lhadruk administered the oath to newly-elected Chairman Pema Choekyi, Vice Chairman Tenzin Sungrab and 10 members of the 9th Herbertpur Local Tibetan Assembly.

The Local Justice Commissioner Lhadruk also addressed members of the Herbertpur Tibetan settlement on the ‘Responsibility, Power and Jurisdiction of Tibetan Supreme Justice Commission and of all the three pillars of Tibetan democratic administration’ – in accordance with the Charter for Tibetans in exile.
