After attending the two-day International Conference on Indian Philosophical Thoughts and Modern Science and the Golden Jubilee Ceremony of Central Institute of Higher Tibetan Studies at Sarnath, Kalon for Religion and Culture, Central Tibetan Administration, Ven. Karma Gelek Yuthok visited four of the seven Buddhist stupas erected by the Department of Religion and Culture, CTA.
These stupas were erected at different Buddhist holy sites in India in accordance with a special advice received from His Holiness the Dalai Lama as symbols of gratitude to the Government and People of India for their unflinching support to the people of Tibet. As religious objects they were also dedicated for prevalence of global harmony and restoration of natural environment. Kalon Yuthok visited and offered his prayers at the stupas located in Uttar Pradesh at Sarnath, Sravasti, Kushinagar and Sankasia. He is to visit the remaining three stupas in Bihar later this month.
