Dharamshala: The 12th Local Tibetan Assembly members of Choephelling Tibetan Settlement in Miao formally sworn in on 31 August 2024.

Local Tibetan Justice Commissioner of the Northern region, Choekyi, virtually administered the oath of office during a swearing in ceremony that was attended by acting Tibetan Settlement Officer of Miao, Tsering Norbu, along with the staff of Settlement Office and regional Tibetan Election Commission members.

Of the 11 new members, 10 were sworn in during the ceremony. Among them, Wangchen Drakpa was elected as President while Tenzin Passang was elected as Vice President of the Local Tibetan Assembly.
