Dharamshala: Young Tibetan entrepreneurs supported by the Tibetan Entrepreneurship Development (TED) initiative of the Department of Finance, Central Tibetan Administration successfully establish their businesses.
Dolma Tsering, Founder and owner of Lhamo Salon had recently opened salon business opposite to the Gankgyi Main Gate and Tenzin Migmar, founder and owner of UpSideDown Dance Studio established dance coaching business near the GuChuSum area. Both of them are part of the 4th batch of TED entrepreneurs and are recipients of the TED Seed Grant program.
Tenzin Migmar, during the opening ceremony said, “I sincerely want to thank the TED initiative and also my parents and brother who have always been by my side in helping me achieve my dream, I pray that more youths will follow their passion and believe in their dreams and I hope in future I can be an example.”
Lhamo urged the youths to be more proactive and be courageous to take risks. She believed that failures will teach you lessons and the sooner you fail, the more time you have to succeed.
TED is an initiative of the Central Tibetan Administration (CTA) to mobilise and amplify Tibetan entrepreneurial spirit by fostering, nurturing, accelerating value-add connections and celebrating entrepreneurship. TED is affecting a profound transformation of the Tibetan community-in-exile with its role as a mobiliser of the Tibetan entrepreneurial spirit to partake in global opportunities and contribute to the community’s economic well-being.
