Dharamshala: The Women’s Empowerment Desk of the Department of Finance, CTA conducted a series of workshops from 25 March to 9 April 2026. These included SGBV Committee workshops for the TDL Bylakupee, Kollegal and Mundgod Settlement Committee members, School ICC workshops for STS Kollegal and STS Mundgod, and Gender Sensitisation workshops for community residents of Kollegal and Mundgod settlement.

The SGBV Committee workshops were designed to strengthen the capacity of committee members to effectively respond to cases related to Sexual and Gender-Based Violence (SGBV) within the community. The School ICC workshops focused on enhancing the ability of Internal Complaints Committee members to prevent, prohibit, and address incidents of sexual harassment within school settings.

In addition, the Gender Sensitisation workshops aimed to raise awareness on key concepts such as gender, sex, gender stereotypes, and social norms. These sessions sought to promote a deeper understanding among community members on the importance of collective efforts in fostering an inclusive, equitable, and safe environment for all.
