Bandhara: The Norgyelling Tibetan Settlement Office (TSO) in Bandhara held an official handing over ceremony between outgoing Tibetan Settlement Officer Karma Lodoe Sangpo and incoming Settlement Officer Tenzin Tsangpa on 19 and 20 May 2025. 5 to 6 May 2025.

Joint Secretary Tenzin Kunsang from the Department of Home, Central Tibetan Administration, attended the ceremony as official witness. 

On 19 May, the office files, documents and inventories under the custody of TSO were handed over to the new Settlement Officer.   

The next day, representatives from local Tibetan civil societies were convened for a gathering to officially exchange the seat and responsibilities.

A gathering was also held with the general Tibetan public at the settlement-based Thekchen Ling, a branch monastery of Sera Jey, where the two Tibetan Settlement Officers and official witness addressed the residents. 

Later that afternoon, the outgoing Settlement Officer introduced incoming Settlement Officer Tenzin Tsangpa, official witness Tenzin Kunsang, and dealing staff Sonam Dorjee from the Department of Home to the local Indian officials, including SDM and SHO, Forest Officer.
