Gangtok: Gangtok Tibetan Settlement Office observed a brief handing over ceremony between new settlement officer Tsering Damdul and outgoing Settlement Officer Lhakpa Tsering on 29 and 30 January 2024.

The ceremony was held in the presence of the representatives of the Local Tibetan Assembly, Six Associations, and camp leaders.

Both the new and outgoing Settlement Officers addressed the gathering and the function wrapped up with the offering of the traditional white scarves to outgoing and new settlement officers by the representatives of the Gangtok Tibetan community as a gesture of appreciation.
