CUDP in collaboration with different organisations such as Tibetan Women’s Association, Lha Charity, Tibetan Conflict Resolution, Waste Warriors, and Nishta, celebrates this year’s Environment day’s theme; Our Land our future which began with a cleanup at Bhagsu riverside in the morning followed by flashmob performances at Mcleod Ganj main square and Bhagsu main chowk. A human chain with awareness slogans was also formed from Mcleod Ganj main square to Bhagsu Nath.
According to the Environment desk of the Settlement Office, “During the cleanup, we made a significant impact by removing endless plastic litters and alcohol bottles from the river side. A total of about 35 bags were filled to the brim, a clear testament to our collective efforts. We urge our people, locals, and tourists to refrain from littering such a beautiful nature spot for everyone’s benefit.”
The day concluded with entertaining flashmob performances, lyrics about environmental awareness, and a human chain with placards to raise awareness of the environment.
