Geneva: The Tibetan community in Swiss and Liechtenstein marked the celebration of the 34th Nobel Peace Prize Conferment on His Holiness the Dalai Lama on Saturday, 9 December.
Abbot Tenzin Jangchup of Tibet Rikon Institute, MPs Thupten Wangchen and Thupten Gyatso, and the staff of Tibet Bureau Geneva were among the guest attendees at the celebration.
Karma Choekyi, president of the Swiss and Liechtenstein Tibetan Community Association delivered the introductory remarks while the Tibetan parliamentarians spoke about the significance of the day.
Abbot Tenzin Jangchup reminded the gathering about the extensive legacy of His Holiness the Dalai Lama while urging the collective effort of the Tibetan community to fulfil the aspirations of His Holiness the Dalai Lama.
