Dharamshala: The Tibetan Supreme Justice Commission (TSJC) of the Central Tibetan Administration (CTA) organized Needs Assessment & Training of the Trainer from 9th to 13th January, 2023.
On the 9th, 10th and 13th of January, the needs assessment was carried out.
On the 11th and 12th January, Training of the Trainer’s workshop was held at DIIR’s Tibetan Computer Resource Centre (TCRC) hall. It was attended by 24 participants from various departments, consisting of legal staff from TSJC, Justice Commissioners and Secretaries from subordinate Tibetan Justice Commissions, Election Commission, Public Service Commission, Education Department, Social and Resources Development Fund (SARD) and Women’s Empowerment Desk (WED) of Finance Department, Tibetan Legal Association and dealing staff of TSJC.
The Secretary of TSJC Mrs.Yeshi Wangmo, inaugurated the workshop by giving the introduction and needs of the workshop. Later on, she introduced Mrs. Christie S. Warren, the workshop’s trainer, who is also a Law Professor at William and Mary Law School and highlight that the workshop was a joint initiative of CEELI Institute Prague, Advancing the Rule of Law, International Foundation for Electoral System (IFES) and funded by DRL through Finance Department, CTA.
Mr. Christopher G. Lehman, a former Director and Mr.Marek Svoboda, a Program Officer of CEELI also joined and facilitated the workshop.
The workshop focused on providing trainers with the skills needed to assess training needs, methodologies and the importance of training preparation for the future.
