Dalhousie: Tibetan community in Dalhousie Phuntsokling settlement joyfully celebrated the 90th birthday of His Holiness the Great 14th Dalai Lama with a 3 days program from 6 to 8 July 2025.

On 6 July, the program kick off with Sangsol  followed by  prayers and Mandala offering before the His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama’s  great portrait. The event was graced by chief guest Anil Kumar Bhardwaj, Dalhousie Sub Divisional Magistrate along with guest of honour Shri Hemant Thakur, Deputy Superintendent of Police; Special Guest Shri Ramesh Kumar Chauhan, Tehsildar of Dalhousie and President Indo-Tibetan Friendship society Dr. G.S. Dhillon. Many other local dignitaries of Dalhousie was also present as the event’s guest.

The event featured a cake cutting ceremony, cultural performances, and special lunch to all the dignitaries and general public of Dalhousie settlement. Thereafter, the masses engaged in Tambola game which was organized by the 3 NGO’s of Dalhousie Tibetan Settlement.

On the 2nd and 3rd day of the program, Tibetan community of Phuntsokling engaged in various games in celebration, and everyone participated with full joy and enthusiasm. The 3 days event witnessed community bonding and joyous celebration.
