Mr. Surendra Kumar welcomes guests and members who have attended this meeting.
Dr Brajesh Kumar Sharma of ITFS – Sitamarhi Bihar has highlighted the historical facts about Tibet dating back to 1959 when more than 85000 Tibetans along with His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama sought refuge in India when Tibet was forcefully occupied by Communist China killing millions of Tibetans. He pointed out that China can never be trusted especially after the 1962, Galwan and Arunachal border hostility created by Communist China. He requested the Indian Parliamentarian to welcome His Holiness the Dalai Lama in the Parliament House and to honour him with India’s Highest Civilian Award “Bharat Ratna”.
And to take Tibbat Mukti Sadhna on a larger scale Dr. Pramod Kumar Sharma stated Indians should take four major responsibilities 1: to raise the Tibet issue wherever possible 2: to constantly connect with media personnel and constantly inform with Tibet issues 3: to request the respective MP’s to raise Tibet issues in the Indian Parliament 4: to always focus on peaceful solution of Tibet.
Manoj Kumar fmr. VC. Of Mahatma Gandhi Hindu University, Wardha raised his concerns about weakening global organisations and their inability to take uniform solutions to tragedies occurring around the globe.
“Whether it is about the Ukraine war or Isreal – Israeli-Palestinian conflict the world has to unite and take lasting and peaceful solutions”, he said. He further talked about the centuries-old historical relations between India and Tibet that degenerated following the Chinese occupation causing enormous trouble to India, especially the border conflict & water pollution of major rivers in the Asia subcontinent.
V. N. Upadhaya underscored the geo-political and environmental significance for India in supporting the Tibetan cause. Dr. Upadhaya highlighted the prevailing Chinese policy of separating an estimated 1 million Tibetan children from their families to forcefully enrol at Chinese boarding schools which are part of a broader strategy of China to dilute Tibetan identity and assimilate Tibetans into the majority Chinese culture.
Dr. Ramjee Singh specified that to solve the issue of Tibet the Indian political party should take a unified stand “Ek Bharat, Ek Drishti”, a party less unified approach. He requested the Indian masses to connect with Tibetan communities and strengthen the India – Tibet relationship.
India Tibet Coordination Office, Acting Coordinator Tenzin Jorden explained the grave situation faced by Tibetans under the Communist regime Tibet and expressed his gratitude to the Indian Government and Tibet Support Groups in India for constantly supporting Tibbat Mukti Sadhna.
Sh. Surendra Kumar reminds the Indian friends of the 1962 Indian parliamentary resolution on China passed by the Parliament of India on 14 November 1962. The unanimous resolution adopted during Sino-Indian War pledged to get back the territory occupied by the Chinese to the last inch. The goodwill and friendship by India towards China based on recognition of each other’s independence, non-aggression and non-interference, and peaceful co-existence, China has betrayed this goodwill and friendship and the principles of Five Principles of Peaceful Coexistence The Panchsheel which had been agreed to between the two countries and has committed aggression and initiated a massive invasion of India by the Chinese military in 1962.
