
Tenzingang: As a part of celebrating the “Year of Compassion,” the people of Tenzingang Tibetan Settlement and the Local Ghoton Organising Committee members organised a lunch and refreshment drive targeted at Border Roads Organisation (BRO) labourers, tourists, and commuters travelling between Guwahati and Tawang on 13 June 2026 at Tenzingang Settlement.
During the lunch and refreshment drive, Local Ghoton Organising Committee members, headed by Rapten Tsering, Settlement Officer, Ven. Jamba Tsering, Administrator of Gyuto Monastery, Tashi Rabten, Chairman of the Local Tibetan Assembly, Lodoe Tsering, BRDL President, Lobsang Yeshi, President of RTYC, Kelsang Lhamo, President of RTWA, seven camp leaders, staff of the Tibetan Settlement Office and Tibetan Multipurpose Co-Operative Society, and volunteers from RTYC and RTWA actively participated in the cooking and distribution of lunch and refreshments to over 150 people.
The event was attended by Border Roads Organisation (BRO) staff, labourers, tourists, and commuters, who were served lunch and refreshments. The main aims and objectives of organising this event were explained by the Settlement Officer and Organising Committee members during the lunch and refreshment drive.
