Herbertpur: On 29 June 2026, marking the closing of the compassion Year, the Herbertpur Ghoton committee organised a special prayer offering ceremony at a hilltop in Mussoorie Lha Gyal Ri, Uttarakhand, to commemorate the auspicious occasion of Zamling Chisang (Universal Offering Day), observed according to the Tibetan Lunar calendar.

The offering ceremony was led by Venerable Tenpa Gyatso, Abbot of Tsedup Lhakang, accompanied by six monks of Gonkar Choede monastery. They conducted prayers and offering rituals for universal peace, harmony, compassion and the well-being of all sentient beings. And Speacial prayer with offerings were also dedicated to the long life, good health and continued guidance of His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama for global peace and harmony.

As part of the observance, 130 Tibetan prayer flags were ceremonially raised, symbolising the aspiration that the blessing carried by the prayer flags may spread peace, happiness and goodwill throughout the world.
