Supreme Justice Commission to Hold Workshop on Judicial System

Dharamshala: The Supreme Justice Commission (SJC), the highest judicial organ of the Central Tibetan Administration, is organising a judicial training from 15 to 20 November followed by a judicial conference on 21 and 22 November.
The workshop will focus on Code of Judiciary, Civil Procedure Code and Law of evidence.
Namgyal Tsering Dralnang, Chief Justice Commissioner (CJC), and Lobsang Dargyal, former Chief Justice Commissioner, will be the resource persons of the workshop.
The main objectives of this training and conference are to raise awareness about the Tibetan judiciary, identification of the judicial problems and to brainstorm on how to solve these problems and also to upgrade the Code of Judiciary.
The workshop will be attended by over 100 people comprising, Secretary of the SJC, 2 circuit justice commissioners, 39 local justice commissioners/ local administrators, Tibetan advocates (who underwent a 6-month training conducted by the SJC) and others.
