Shillong: The Chairman, Vice Chairman and members of the sixth Shillong Local Assembly were sworn in at a brief ceremony held on 10 December.

The ceremony also witnessed the election of 7 members to the local assembly including the Chair Shilog Tsering and Vice Chair Youngdung Gyaltsen.

In accordance with the 69th provision in the Tibetan Charter, the Chief Justice Commissioner of Tibetan Supreme Justice Commission had appointed Yangchen Dolkar, Member of the 16th Tibetan Parliament as a temporary local Justice Commissioner to administer the oath.
