Siliguri: While on his official visit to Miao Choepheling settlement en route Bagdogra-Siliguri, Sikyong made a one-day halt at Siliguri and met with the heads and monks of Sed-Gyued monastery and the Tibetan community.
Sed-Gyued monastery presented the Sikyong a statue of the Buddha to honour him for his outstanding contributions as the Sikyong of the Central Tibetan Administration. Sikyong also gave a brief address to the Tibetans. Sikyong also paid a visit to Tulku Sangak Rinpoche of the Namchak monastery and afterwards, joined by the Rinpoche attended an evening prayer assembly at the nunnery.
