Dharamshala: The Department of Education organised an awareness campaign on Secular Ethics for Tibetan schools across North East India.
Geshe Lharampa Yeshi Gyaltsen led the month-long campaign from 2 October-3 November preaching the evolution and importance of secular ethics and its holistic benefits for the schools’ teachers and students. He also advocated the four principal commitments of His Holiness the Dalai Lama throughout the awareness tour and discussed some key issues with the secular ethics committees of schools.
Some of the schools covered by Geshe Gyaltsen include Kalimpong, Sonada, Darjeeling, Tezu, Miao, Tenzingang, and Ravangla. This campaign was funded by DANIDA.
